Yes. This is a great of example of how The Journey is a “both/and” community (as opposed to “either/or.”) We love blowing up false dichotomies. We study Scripture deeply and invite the Spirit to move among us. We trust the sovereignty of God and pray for miraculous healing. We equip each other to share our faith and seek justice in our cities. You get the idea.

We are committed to being a family made up of different generations, backgrounds, ethnicities and abilities. Unity in the midst of diversity is a big part of God’s Kingdom, and one we celebrate. (Translation: there is a place for you and the people you care about here.)

Everyone is invited to encounter and follow Jesus, and we are honored when our LGBTQ+ friends take us up on that invitation. It gets messy when we trust God to speak into every part of our lives together, but we are up for the mess if you are. Everyone has a unique story, and we’ll be honored if you choose to trust us with yours. We will have both truth and love, clarity and kindness waiting for you if you do.

Yes. The Journey was started with you in mind. Please bring your doubts, your brain, and your baggage — they are all welcome here. You will have the opportunity to learn more, ask questions, share hurts from past experiences, all at your own pace. In fact, you can reach out to a pastor with your big questions any time — even right now. We will always be eager to hear from you.
